ALUMINUM SMELTING COURSE TO BE HELD

The Centro de Innovación Italiano-Mexicano en Manufactura de Alta Tecnología Hidalgo (CIIMMATH), in coordination with the Italian Institute for Foreign Trade (ICE) and the Italian Association of Manufacturers of Machinery and Products for the Foundry Industry (AMAFOND), will give a training course in the aluminum die casting process (DIE-CASTING), by the Italian specialist engineer Claudio Mus. The course, which will last three days, will be held at the facilities in Ciudad Sahagún, Tepeapulco, with the purpose of consolidating the creation of the Technological Center for Aluminum Die Casting".

Claudia Ramón, CIIMMATH's Project Director, pointed out that this course will be held in the new Italian-manufactured aluminum die casting cell, recently installed by CIIMMATH with the technological support of IDRA and CO.RAM, leading Italian companies in this process. Companies interested in this high-tech equipment such as Fundiplastic, Maquinados Teysa, Thomas & Betts, as well as professors and students of Metallurgical Engineering from ICBI, UAEH, and Electromechanics, Itesa, will attend.

In addition, he said, the technical staff of CIIMMATH will be in charge of sharing their knowledge with engineering professors and students from the 17 universities with which they have technological collaboration agreements. In this regard, he said, students frequently attend guided tours, carry out internships or residencies and jointly develop projects.
