State of the Industry Report 2021: First Quarter Machine Tools Orders Grow +48.6%

In the first quarter of 2021, the orders of machine tools collected by Italian manufacturers started to grow again. In particular, the UCIMU index processed by the Economic Studies Department & Business Culture of the Association showed a 48.6% upturn in the first three months of the year compared with the same period of 2020. Danieli’s Equipment For Nucor Plate Mill Soon To Set Sail

Italy’s Danieli expects to begin shipping the first pieces of equipment to Nucor Corp.’s planned US$1.7 billion plate mill by the end of the month, the equipment supplier has said. Bound for Brandenburg, Ky., USA, are the first pieces of what will make up an order consisting of 33,000 tons’ worth of equipment.
