Tenaris -Tamsa has created 1,000 permanent jobs with plant expansion

With the expansion of Tenaris-Tamsa, a thousand people have been hired to the workforce of the company dedicated to the manufacture of steel pipes, informed the company's Public Relations Manager, Gerardo Cárdenas Hernández.

He pointed out that there are 4,700 people working on a permanent basis and that the factory generates around 20,000 indirect jobs per year, benefiting the region and reactivating other suppliers of the international company.

The expansion of the facilities that are being made with the investment of 1,600 million dollars will allow production to increase from 800,000 tons per year to 1,200 tons of pipes.

The expansion that has been made will allow to continue hiring people in the factory considered one of the largest plants in the world of the Tenaris-Tamsa group.

2013 is expected to be a good year for marketing due to exports to European and Asian countries, as well as to the United States, one of the main markets.

Due to the quality in the delivery that is made in a timely manner, there is good acceptance in the customers to whom the company sells in several countries of the world competing in the international markets.

On another note, he commented that the Tenaris-Tamsa Industrial Center awarded 361 scholarships to the children of the company's employees, in recognition of their dedication and the good grades they obtained in their academic activities.

The Educational Scholarship program is an annual support provided by the company since 1996 through its civil association, Tamsa, A.C., to personnel or their children who have excellent grades in their high school and university studies.

More than 5,500 scholarships have been given, with which partial or total support has been given for the payment of studies, as well as the provision of uniforms and school supplies.
