Querétaro, Querétaro, January 31, 2022. Marco Antonio del Prete Tercero, head of the Secretariat of Sustainable Development of Queretaro, informed during a meeting with members of the organization EO Queretaro, that Queretaro has been able to attract 4 new projects with an investment of 528 million pesos that will generate 1,470 sources of employment.
In addition to these projects already formalized, there are 52 new investments in the negotiation pipeline, which when completed will represent a job offer of 37,447 formal jobs.
Marco Antonio del Prete also said that in 2021 the state showed a significant economic recovery, generating 33,180 jobs from January to December, which positioned Querétaro in third place nationally in annual growth in formal employment and the third with the highest average salary at the national level.
The Head also said that the production value of manufacturing industries reached 366 thousand 49 million pesos in the January-November 2021 period, which represents an annual growth of 18.4%.
"The sectors that produce the most are the manufacture of transportation equipment, which generated 88 billion 265 million pesos, the manufacture of electrical accessories and appliances obtained 55 billion 507 million pesos and the food industry with 48 billion 294 million pesos."
