ITA & Confindustria Marmomacchine At Coverings 2021
From July 7 to 9, the Coverings 2021 trade show, one of the most important North American trade shows dedicated to natural stone/marble and ceramic cladding and stone technologies, was held at the Orlando Fairgrounds. The 2021 edition, after cancellation in 2020 due to the pandemic, features more than 330 international exhibitors from more than 20 countries.

For the first time, in the Pavilion of the fair dedicated to machinery and equipment, ICE-Agenzia, in collaboration with the association Confindustria Marmomacchine, has organized an Italian collective that, on an area of 92 square meters, hosts 7 leading Italian companies in the stone technology sector: Dal Prete Engineering Srl, GNC Meccanica Srl, Ims Srl, Marmoelettromeccanica Srl, MD Dario Srl, Nuova Mondial Mec Srl, Omag SpA.

Staff from the ICE Chicago Office are present at the Institutional Stand to provide support and assistance to the exhibiting companies.

The following advertising campaign has been produced:
  • advertisements in the newsletters of the industry trade magazine Stone World
  • to professional databases via Stone World magazine
  • social media campaigns and through the ICE portal www.old.machinesitalia.org
  • catalog of the Italian collective at Coverings 2021
The United States has confirmed itself as a particularly resilient market for the "Made in Italy" sector, both for natural stone from Italy and for stone machinery.

Italy has been present in the U.S. market for years and maintains the second place among the main supplier countries for stone processing machinery and equipment (including saws, polishers, sanders), with a total turnover of $72.5 million USD in 2020, and a share of almost 30 percent. After a 4.6 percent decline in 2020 due to the Covid pandemic, the industry saw growth of nearly 33 percent in the first 3 months of 2021 compared to the same period in 2020; Italy in particular saw a
56.7% growth.
