Grupporeco Invests $28 Million In Plant In U.S.
Grupporeco, a global leader in household appliance components, will build its first U.S. plant in North Carolina. Grupporeco intends to produce dishwasher components at a new factory in Kingston, North Carolina, worth about $28 million USD. The company, which is headquartered in Italy, manufactures coated dishwasher baskets, steel wire and tube components, and aluminum tubing and components for the world's leading household appliance brands.

Company officials said they are "excited to see the project restarting soon" after the forced hiatus and delays attributable to the COVID-19 pandemic. Its new U.S. subsidiary, RECO US Inc. will bring the company's manufacturing and product development activities closer to its customers in the United States. The project is expected to create 110 new jobs.

"The United States is a key market for our growth," Grupporeco President and CEO Vincenzo Locatelli said in a note.

The North Carolina government approved an incentive package amounting to $918,000 over 12 years, tied to the Italian company's investment and workforce goals.
