Enel Opens Three Wind Farms Between U.S. And Canada
Enel is expanding into the renewable energy market of the United States and Canada, mainly through its subsidiary Enel Green Power North America. Its latest successes include the connection to the grid of an additional 50 megawatts of the High Lonesome wind farm located in Upton and Crockett counties in Texas, increasing the total energy generation capacity of the farm to 500 megawatts, the largest in the Group's global renewables portfolio. The Enel Group also recently connected the two wind farms at Riverview (105 megawatts) and Castle Rock Ridge (29.4 megawatt phase 2) in Canada's Alberta province. These projects aim to provide clean energy to manufacturing companies and industrial and commercial customers in the two countries.

According to Antonio Cammisecra, CEO of Enel Green Power, in the first 3 months of 2020, the Italian group increased its global energy capacity by 400 MW through various projects, thus confirming its commitment to sustainability and a zero-emissions future.
