In its 20th edition, the second in Milan, LAMIERA strengthened its position as a world class exhibition for metal-fabricating technology, automation systems, robotics, welding equipment . New innovation areas included Robot Planet, FabbricaFutura and Saldatech as well as Fastener Industry, Ecocoatech and Blech Italy Service.Lamiera 2019 was held at Fiera Milano Rho from May 15 to 18. Attendance figures at the fair were impressive: 26,197, an 11 percent increase over the already positive result of the previous edition (2017); 518 exhibitors (up 6 percent); and three fully booked pavilions, one more than the previous edition for a total of 50,000 square meters of exhibition area (up 25 percent).
Italian Trade Agency and UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE (the association of Italian manufacturers of machine tools, robots, automation systems and auxiliary products), invited more than one hundred companies using metalworking technologies and organized 1,400 meetings with Italian exhibitors for them.
Machines Italia's offices in Toronto, Mexico City, and Chicago brought twenty-five major North American companies to the event, including: NTN Bearing (Canada), TEMPEFF NA (Canada), Mott Manufacturing (Canada), Lamitec (Mexico), MAASA (Mexico), MAENA (Mexico), Trans-matic Manufacturing (USA), Valmont Industries (USA), Apeks Supercritical (USA).
Canada was Country of Honor at this year's edition of LAMIERA: the organizers prepared a report consisting of an in-depth analysis of the metalworking market in Canada and interviews with Italian and Canadian manufacturers.
