Spila is a historic company in the moulding sector of plastic and composite materials. The company was founded in 1973 by the Tamagnini family to produce fibreglass containers for agricultural use and it has progressively expanded by extending production to increasingly diversified applications.

Starting from the historical sector of containers for pesticide treatments, spraying and weeding, it subsequently specialised in the production of fuel tanks for heavy plant: trucks, tractors and earth moving machinery. Over time, the industrial cleaning market has also been added, in particular the production of components for sweepers, high-pressure washers and cleaning machines in general.

In 1980 the moulding of thermoplastics with rotational technology was introduced allowing the market to expand into sectors other than strictly agricultural, in particular to earth moving machinery, armoured vehicles for military use, construction site vehicles in general, such as bulldozers, excavators and telescopic handlers and last but not least motorcycle tanks.

Finally, the company has also extended into the hydraulic sector, developing a series of products in order to supply plastic containers to industries which traditionally have always preferred metal products.

Spila currently has three separate production lines in three different factories: one for glass fibre lamination with spraycut technology, historically the sector in which the company began production; one for the manufacture of products composed of carbon and glass fibre with injection technology and RTM (a vacuum-based moulding technology producing items with improved aesthetic appearance and mechanical resistance); finally, the production line that led to the growth of the company which deals with rotational moulding with six lines of machinery making products of different sizes.
