Martinenghi was founded in Milan in 1945 by Luigi and Corradino Martinenghi. The main field of activity was the design and the construction of automobile and motorcycle assembly equipment and systems. The design and construction of machines for the production of flexible aluminium tubes began in 1950. The first automatic aluminium tube production machine was made in 1955: this technology was later extended to the field of aerosol cans and cylindrical containers in general.

In 1982 the company became part of the "La Metallurgica" group, from which it received considerable input for research and technological development.

In recent years, Martinenghi has invested much energy in new machinery research and development, expanding the fields of expertise and carving out interesting niches in new sectors, such as plastic tubes. The new millennium will see Martinenghi take centre stage, thanks to new ideas underway. Our customers will be able to take advantage of innovative products, capable of supporting their high quality production.
