The order index for Italian textile machinery carried out by ACIMIT, the Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers, for 2019 January-March period ranging from January to March 2019 dropped 3% compared to the same period of the previous year. The orders index for textile machinery compiled by ACIMIT, the association of Italian textile machinery manufacturers comprising of 300 companies, for the period between July-September 2018, has remained stable compared to the same period for 2017. While machinery orders received by ACIMIT members increased in Italy, there was a fall in export markets.
