Share Your Story In The Next Edition of Machines Italia Magazine Vol XVI! Deadline October 6th 2023

The undersigned office (Chicago USA) with a specific selective procedure has entrusted the SME - Society of Manufacturing Engineers - an important association that brings together engineers and professionals in the manufacturing sector throughout North America, as well as publisher of magazines specialized in industrial technologies, the task of develop the next edition of Machines Italia Magazine (hereafter also referred to as the magazine). Distribution of the magazine is expected by December 2023 through the Manufacturing Engineering magazine (to 30,000 subscribers).
 
The periodical Machines Italia will also be distributed in electronic format to approximately 255,000 executives and managers of North American manufacturing companies selected in the SME databases.
 
The 2023 edition of the magazine, the sixteenth, intends to promote Italian machinery and technologies in North American manufacturing industries, focusing on excellence, on the innovative content of the made in Italy offer, on the intelligent management of production resources and the workforce and on overcoming operational challenges in automation and manufacturing processes.
 
The magazine will also illustrate concrete cases of North American end users who successfully employ advanced technological tools supplied by Italian companies in the various mechanical sectors covered by ICE's Machines Italia programme.
 
All information and materials useful for the purpose of editing the magazine's contents must be sent to SME by October 6, 2023. This deadline has been set to allow the SME editorial staff to evaluate the material, ask any questions and make the necessary revisions in time for publication.We do not guarantee the publication of material received after the deadlines.
 
ARTICLES
 
SME underlined that the collaboration of Italian companies, their subsidiaries, and North American companies (that want to share their experiences using Italian machinery) in the collection of material to be used in the preparation of the articles and news that will appear in the publication is essential. In particular, SME is looking for materials and stories for articles on the topics listed below. For each theme, the reference SME editors and journalists are indicated, as well as the target companies. The choice of proposing material on one theme rather than another can be agreed directly with SME by writing to the addresses indicated below. Correspondence and materials must be in English. Finished articles will be approximately 2,500 words in length and will contain material from multiple sources.
 
F1 - Manufacturing Megatrends: Building a Sustainable, Efficient and Automated Future. As the world grapples with environmental challenges and looks to optimize production processes, manufacturers are embracing innovative technologies and practices that redefine industrial production.

NEWS BRIEF
  
The News Brief section of the magazine will highlight stories related to Italian companies and their subsidiaries that have invested or will invest in North America. These companies are requested to transmit and/or have information transmitted (including press releases andbyline articles) relating to new plants, products, offices, headquarters, installations as well as partnerships with North American companies. The information should be accompanied by graphic material such as photographs of machinery, people and/or installations.
 
Given the limited space, the selection of announcements and news for this section will be made by SME taking into consideration not only their editorial relevance but also a fair representation of the 15 Machines Italy sectors.

CASE STUDIES
 
For the creation of the articles on the stories of end users of Italian technology, SME needs interviews and statements from customers able to provide direct evidence of the uses and the responsiveness of the machinery to the particular needs and requirements of North American customers. The material may relate only and exclusively to machinery and technologies actually used in North America. The coordinates of the customers that SME will interview directly must include: name, title, e-mail addresses, telephone numbers and contacts of the branches of the Italian companies in North America or of the headquarters in Italy where the companies do not have local branches.
