Italy’s ENI Makes Important Oil Discoveries In Mexico
Six relevant oil discoveries, for an estimated  339 million barrels, have been made in Mexico during the first months of 2020. One of these discoveries was from the Italian-based, multi-national company, ENI.
ENI’s deposit amounts to 143 million barrels of oil and 68 thousand square feet of gas.

The other five discoveries have been made by PEMEX, for a total of 102 million barrels of oil and 186 thousand square feet of gas.

ENI first began working with Mexico in 1967, with the Agip Petroleum Company. Since 2015, its exploration and hydrocarbon development activities have been concentrated offshore of the country.
