 Given the continuous increase in the demand of crates of flat glass for import/export, Italcarrelli has developed a machine - EN BOX 25 -to simplify the loading and unloading of glass in crates directly from the shipping containers. The loading/unloading of the glass in crates is an extremely risky operation, for both the glass and the operators, when done with traditional methods.  The frequency of injuries and damages to the crates is very high.
Companies often prefer to ship glass in open top containers for it is easier to load and unload, but these types of containers are certainly a lot more expensive. With EN BOX 25 it is possible to load and unload a container in just a few minutes with a single operator in complete safety.
The loader, which is similar to a telescopic fork-lift truck, is made up of a rotating arm that can extend in order to reach the centre of the container. The tip of the arm is equipped with a hydraulic tool to lift the crates. This tool can also rotate and thus enables it to position the crate on the left or on the right of the container as well as to carry out modifications during positioning. All the above operations are carried out by a single operator sitting in the cabin at a safe distance from the load.
With this loader, it is also possible to transport the crates inside the warehouse as well as the loading and unloading of the same from trucks.
