Founded in 1963, CMG srl began as a job shop/engineering company specializing in components for the helicopter industry.
When a deep crisis hit the aviation industry in the early 1980s, the owners decided to abandon the aeronautical market and concentrate solely on the plastics industry where they designed and manufactured components for Italian and foreign machinery suppliers.
By the mid 1980s CMG began to design and manufacture complete blown-film lines under its own name. Today, CMG has installed in excess of 1,200 machines, mainly in Europe and Australia, with markets in North America and Asia in full development. In the past three years, 75% of the lines sold were 3-layer machines, ever more sophisticated in terms of winding, cooling technology and automation.

At present CMG operates out of 2 facilities with a total area of 7,000 sqm and employs 82 people in various disciplines. The output capacity is 45-50 complete lines per year, depending on the size and complexity, each of which is thoroughly tested before being shipped.
