More than 1,700 factories produce chocolates, snacks and bars using Carle & Montanari technology and equipment, and the name Cavemil – named after Emilio Cavalieri (CAValieri EMILio), who invented the first automatic chocolate plant in the 1950s – remain a byword for chocolate molding all over the world. Following its takeover by the Sacmi group, Carle & Montanari operates directly in 23 countries and has sufficient resources to invest significantly in research and development.
