Omas Tecnosistemi Srl

In 1973 Luigi Giudici founded OMG, a mechanical workshop company dedicated at the manufacturing of filling systems suitable for installation onto packaging machinery, soon afterwards joined by Omas Tecnosistemi Srl.

That quickly became a leader in the design and manufacture of automatic machines in the Pharmaceutical, Cosmetic, Beauty-Care, Biotech, Chemical and Food Industry. Both companies now managed by Savino Giudici, are located in one plant of more of 6000 square meters with a staff of over 40 specialized engineers, engaged themselves to match customer requirements.

OMET FOODTECH SRL

Omet was founded in 1959 in Poggibonsi with the aim of manufacturing machines for the production of sausages. During that time period, Omet mainly sold its equipment to butcher shops. Through the years, Omet has seen its customer base grow and continued to develop the latest equipment for the sausage industry. Omet has now attained a leading position in the market and sells its equipment all over the world.

The OMIS brand name was developed in 1960, even though the company had been on the market for more than forty years as a leading manufacturer of machinery and equipment for the ceramic industry. OMIS International is now led by a pool of young managers, who continue to use the historic OMIS brand name for their products to confirm and further strengthen the future perspectives of the company. OMIS International, as its name already indicates, is a strongly internationalized company, engaged in the design, manufacturing and distribution of its products at a global scale: including systems, machinery and equipment for the ceramic industry and, in particular, for the manufacturing of ceramic tiles, tableware and bricks.

OMIS International has its headquarters in Castellarano, supported by a highly efficient global POS network.
 
The company is restructured in five divisions specialized in the production of:

  • Polishing and sanitizing systems
  • Squaring and chamfering systems
  • Silkscreen-printing and glazing systems
  • Third firing systems

The acquisition of the historic OMIS brand name has also provided the company with the license to manufacture and sell the whole original and patented set of spare parts, in spite of several illegal imitation attempts.

The high speed spindles and electro-spindles designed and manufactured by OMLAT have been an example of innovation and technical precision for 60 years. This is a consolidated tradition and the basis to establish a relationship of trust with partner companies whose success is of great satisfaction to Omlat. The technology of the electro-spindle has recently spread over many fields where high speed cutting operations are necessary to reduce machining time, to minimize costs and to guarantee perfect results with high reliability (traditional metalworking, woodworking, plastic, aluminum, glass, graphite and composite materials). Omlat with it's "know how" is able to lead this continuous technical evolution and to offer spindles and electro-spindles for all machining operations requiring power, speed, stiffness and ease of application.

The Omalt strategy is to create a solution that satisfies the specific needs of every customer. For this reason, Omlat cooperates with the customer to choose a spindle that can meet the technical and production requirements in the best way.

The two Omlat plants in Ceresole d'Alba and Corneliano d'Alba stand out for their modern layout, for the quality of the production procedures and for their organization. They extend for 8,000 sq M divided in areas where approximately 200 workers operate. The temperature and humidity of the facility are tightly controlled by a modern air-conditioning system in order to guarantee the best efficiency. The air is filtered to keep out dust and dirt particles in order to guarantee the highest quality and precision. This is the basis for the reliability of the spindles. When a customer visits an Omlat plant, he can immediately see that the product he buys is manufactured with the greatest care. All the production processes are computer controlled and utilize the newest technology, fully automatic machines that can operate around the clock. Since every step of the complex design and manufacturing process, including material treatment, are internally controlled, Omlat is fully responsible for the performance and reliability of its products.
