Italy’s Stevanato Group To Build $145M Plant In Fishers Indiana

An Italian life sciences company is planning to establish its new U.S. hub in central Indiana. Stevanato Group says it will invest up to $145 million to build and equip a 370,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Fishers and create more than 230 jobs by the end of 2025. The company, which provides drug containment, drug delivery and diagnostic services for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and life sciences industries, says the facility will support the expansion and production of its EZ-Fill solutions. Lavazza North America, part of global Italian coffee company Lavazza Group, begins construction of the first roasting and packing plant in the United States. The new plant is slated to open in October 2021 and will serve the US market. Global tissue paper manufacturer Sofidel officially opened its seventh U.S. plant as part of an effort to meet increased consumer demand. The company invested $360 million in the 1.8 million-square-foot facility in Inola, Oklahoma, outside of Tulsa.
