November 2019 – The Italian Trade Agency (ITA) is pleased to announce the North American winners of its annual technology awards (see Attachment A in the PDF for a full list). Essays by engineering students based in several renowned Universities in Canada, Mexico and the United States were selected by panels of Italian experts for their outstanding quality and innovativeness.
Vitrum 2019 makes headway in its strategy of international recognition as an exceptional exhibition platform dedicated to the world of glass processing. The numbers speak for themselves: 267 Exhibitors from 25 different countries, up 9% compared to Vitrum 2017. Net occupied surface area of 16,134m2 for a significant (10.81%) increase over the 14,569m2 at the previous edition.
Vitrum never fails to amaze and, on the evening dedicated to Exhibitors, it will be transformed into a must-attend happening. An unforgettable sound track by Kay Rush will alternate deep house and soulful deep, with hip hop, jazz and rock influences.
Glass has always impressed artists and poets with its peculiar features. As it was a synonym for purity and fragility, over time it gained a special place in the heart of those who desired to be surrounded by “fragments” of delicate beauty. From its origins, Venice has been a vibrant centre of maritime trade flows.
Hosted at the Moscow Fairgrounds, the event has reached its 21st anniversary and is the largest glass production, processing and finishing products show in Russia and Eastern Europe. The 2018 event encompassed 11,500 sq., had 396 exhibitors from 24 countries and attracted 7,500 visitors from 49 different countries.
