Export Of Italian Machinery To Canada Jumps 21%

In the second quarter of 2015, imports of machinery and equipment, (15 Machines Italia sectors), from Italy, increased 21%, from $155 million to $187 million (CAD). Italy is the fifth largest supplier of industrial technology to Canada with a market share of 3.1%, (+5.5%). Topping the Italian technology exports to Canada are metalworking machinery and tools, food processing machinery and equipment, packaging machines, plastics and rubber processing machines.

Italian Investments Survey

The Italian Trade Commission in Canada, the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development and Industry Canada undertook a research project aimed at mapping and surveying the Italian companies operating in the country. Out of a combined database of over 200 subsidiaries, representing 150+ Italian investments, the survey gathered information on approximately 70 companies. The research report is available upon request, however some key findings are: The surveyed companies employ 4,712 employees, Generate $2,6 billion in revenue in 2014, The total size of the investments was $503 million

Italian Plastic Machinery: State of the Industry Report 2013

Chrysler assembly plant opens

SALTILLO, Coahuila (10/10/2013) - This Thursday, President Enrique Peña Nieto, accompanied by the Secretary of Economy, Ildefonso Guajardo, inaugurated the new Chrysler assembly plant that was built in 18 months to manufacture the new Ram ProMaster commercial vehicle and with which the automaker is positioned to improve its participation in domestic production and sales as well as in exports of vehicles manufactured in Mexico. He also said that Chrysler will join the large-scale production of a new engine at its Ramos Arizpe plant in the same state. With both projects whose investment is 1,249
