The world’s most important ceramic and brick industry supplies exhibition ends its twenty-fifth edition with 4% visitor growth. Tecnargilla confirms its position as the exhibition with the most international visitors: operators from abroad outnumber Italians for the first time.
 
The twenty-fifth edition of Tecnargilla, the most important ceramic and brick industry supplies exhibition in the world, ended on Sepetmeber 30th, 2016. It was once again a success confirming the leading position of the exhibition organised by Acimac (the Association of Italian Manufacturers of Machinery and Equipment for Ceramics) and Rimini Fiera in terms of both the number and quality of the innovations proposed by the exhibiting companies and of the number of exhibitors and visitors.

The optimism that was already tangible in the 12 halls occupied from the first hours of opening was shown to be well founded by the closing data. Tecnargilla 2016 saw the participation of 33,395 visitors from more than 100 countries worldwide: a figure that means 4% growth with respect to the 2014 edition. The international operators outnumbered the Italians for the first time, a record that confirms Tecnargilla’s international character, not only among the exhibitions of the sector, but exhibitions in general. There were 16,764 foreign visitors, growth of 6.3% with respect to the previous edition and equal to 50.3% of the total. There were instead 16,631 Italian operators, growth of +1.7% and 49.7% of the total. The international character of the exhibition was also confirmed in terms of the exhibition itself: of the 430 companies at the exhibition, spread over 80,000 m² of display area, 40% came from 26 countries.

“Tecnargilla is the only event in the world capable of bringing together the best of the technological and aesthetic offering, and the edition that has just come to a close demonstrates this once again,” states Acimac Managing Director Paolo Gambuli. “At Rimini, our companies have met with the top management of the biggest Italian and foreign companies producing tiles and bricks, confirming the fact that our exhibition is addressed not only to the technical staff of companies, but also to the decision makers who define strategies and plans for technological, production and aesthetic development.” “Also fundamental,” continues Gambuli, “was the support of the Italian Ministry of Economic Development and the Italian Trade Agency, which allowed us to boost international promotion and invite profiled buyers from emerging countries to Rimini.” There were more than 1,500 bilateral meetings of exhibiting companies and international representatives.

“This year too, our exhibition has confirmed its global leadership,” continues the Chairman of Rimini Fiera, Lorenzo Cagnoni. “For five days, Rimini has been the capital and cradle of ceramics innovation, confirming its capacity to host an event that’s global in scope and draws thousands of operators from every continent.” The next edition of Tecnargilla is set for the end of September 2018 in Rimini.
