Machines Italia Celebrates a Decade of Successful Relationships

2011 marks an important milestone for Italy, as it is the country’s 150th anniversary as a nation. In 1861 people from different regions, speaking different dialects, which were governed for centuries by various European powers, or local rulers, successfully joined forces to accomplish a task that had not been attempted since Roman times.

More modestly, 2011 is also 10th anniversary of the Italian Trade Commission’s Machines Italia project. Launched in 2001, together with Federmacchine and 15 leading machinery manufacturers associations, the project's primary purpose has been one of providing a direct link between North American manufacturers and Italian technology and manufacturing providers.

These two anniversaries have one thing in common: a strong collaborative dimension, one which illustrates how partnership and the joining of forces can continue to be a winning strategy just as they were 150 years ago. Since the very beginning, Machines Italia and its partner associations have been working closely to create collaborative opportunities for local and Italian companies. North American manufacturers have been producing and exporting their high quality products worldwide for two centuries. Many of these manufacturers - the most successful ones - have been using Italian equipment for quite some time.

In the past 10 years, Machines Italia gathered some of these success stories, which illustrate how NAFTA manufacturers have turned Italian technological innovation into their own productive, flexible, and competitive advantages, while improving their bottom line. These stories are publicized within our digital magazine, Machines Italia found within the publication section of the site. In the decades to come, we look to continue these mutually profitable manufacturing-based relationships between Italy and North America. We encourage you to contact our Offices at 1-888-ITALTRADE or to explore our site www.old.machinesitalia.org to learn more about the latest solutions offered by our Italian technology and machinery providers.
