Engineering Group, Italy's largest software and IT Services company, has entered a partnership agreement with The Triana Group, a New York City-based company, to promote SpagoBI, the only fully-open source Business Intelligence suite. The Triana Group assists foreign technology companies grow and compete in the global marketplace. Through this partnership, Engineering Group opens a US Competency Center, hosted and supported by The Triana Group's team that will provide a first point of contact for customers and integrators looking to adopt or use the SpagoBI suite.
SpagoBI is the only entirely Open Source Business Intelligence suite and has already been adopted within a wide range of environments in Europe. It offers all BI capabilities, supported by over 20 analytical and operational engines, including some tapping the information intelligence domain. SpagoBI's unique open source business model eliminates licensing fees, thus avoiding both software and vendor lock-in; consequently establishing a clear separation between software rights and services. The model has gained wide acceptance among companies and organizations seeking better, yet less expensive, solutions which focus their investment dollars on customization.
