A service call in Korea, found an Italian plate roller still in use by its Korean customer and still performing as it did its first day of service 25 years ago, without ever having had any single major failures, for sure it was built in the proper way - an Italian way!

That clearly was the case during a technical service performed by DAVI engineer at POSCO, the Korean steel mill giant. The plate roll is a DAVI four roll with a capacity 10 ft x 4” 1/4. The machine got an upgrade of the control system, with the advanced DAVI iRoll, with the possibility of remote programming and performance verification via iPad.

"It has been a positive confirmation” - says Orazio Davi President of the Company - “to have the appreciation from POSCO on how the DAVI plate roll was already designed and built so robust and reliable a quarter of a century ago”.
