Innovation Days 2018 Focus on Automotive & Advanced Manufacturing Trends

FINAL NUMBERS ARE IN!



2020 the year analysts predict the United States will surpass China and Germany to once again become the #1 manufacturing powerhouse in the world.

Four key factors will spur the US to the number one position: automation and innovation; growth of green energy policies; infrastructure investment; and the relaunch of Made in USA. The United States is investing in technology with strategic initiatives, such as Manufacturing USA, to bring the country back to a position of leadership in the manufacturing sector and through new models of collaboration between companies and researchers. New opportunities are being made available for companies supplying innovative machinery and equipment, as well as for research centers and universities involved in the development of new technologies.

Considering this forecast and with the aim of increasing the number of opportunities for Italian companies, the Italian Trade Agency will organize its first INNOVATION DAY initiative to take place in Detroit, Chicago, and Rockford the week of June 25th to June 29th, 2018. The Innovation Day initiative aims to reaffirm Italy’s position as a top solution provider to the US while encouraging engagements between some of Italy’s leading companies and universities to create and or further enhance existing partnerships with their US counterparts in commercial and research areas.

Among the highlights of a week-long program for the Italian delegates there will be a conference and two occasions to meet USA counterparts. 

• In Detroit, on June 26^th, the Agency together with its local and Italian partners will host a thought leadership conference on a number of relevant topics related to the two main sectors. 

• A first occasion to take part in customized meetings will be provided in the afternoon of the same day with our Italian delegates.

• In Rockford, Illinois, in the morning of June 29^th, a second occasion to take part in customized meetings will be offered.
