Safond Sabbie da Fonderia S.r.l. has been operating since 1981 at Montecchio Precalcino in the Province of Vicenza on an area specifically allocated to the recovery and disposal of smelting industrial waste. Safond policy has always been underpinned by one central objective, the search for services aimed at favouring the recovery and reuse of waste, as an environmentally sustainable and economically viable process, with plants that guarantee efficacy and efficiency, producing a high standard of recycled Raw Materials. We firmly believe that the waste of potentially recyclable material is, and will always be, a great disadvantage for business, environment and the community. The company has an ordinary authorisation for the recovery of waste collected at its proprietary plants under R5-R13 for processing and transformation into recycled Raw Materials, which are then traded to users for various applications such as: the smelting industry, cast construction, terra cotta and roof tiling industry, concrete and conglomerates, bitumen industry, etc. In addition to recovery, Safond has managed several Category 2 type B landfills and is currently managing a landfill for Special Non-Hazardous waste upgraded to meet Law 36/2003 and operating according to the new criteria set down by Ministerial Decree 3.8.2005. The landfill receives third party waste that cannot be recovered and all waste originating from the company's own recovery operations. The company also has an impressive vehicle fleet for transporting goods by tank trucks, semitrailers and road trailer container sets. All Safond operations are certified and operate to ISO 14001-2004 and ISO 9001-2000. The company is registered in the Albo Nazionale Gestori Rifiuti (National Roll of Waste Managers) for category 9 class B (site restoration operations), category 4 class B (collection and transport of special non-hazardous waste produced by third parties), category 10B class C (restoration of realties containing asbestos), category 6F class A (management of landfills for special waste), category 8 (waste merchandising) and has SOA approval category OG12 class V (qualification to carry out public works).
