Overview:
Baschild is a multinational company, renowned in timber drying industry and providing five product lines: drying kilns (traditional or with tunnel loading), pre-drying kilns, high temperature kilns (for timber thermo-treatment), steaming chambers and control systems.
Kilns and controller are designed and built in a unique facility in Italy, according to four guidelines: mechanical quality, quick drying, energy saving and tailor-made solutions.

Function

Mechanics
- ATK line is made for outdoor installation, despite weather conditions.
- The structure and the cladding panels are entirely made of stainless steel, worked with Numerical Control Machines (CNC) and standardized in order to withstand snow load of more than 350 kg/m2 and the effect of thermo-mechanical expansion.
- The kilns are assembled on the installation site.
Heating system
- ATK kilns are equipped with heat exchangers made of stainless steel and extruded aluminum, with a stainless steel distribution system with a standardized thickness of 25/10 mm and a special temperature uniformity system.
- The heat exchangers, welded in robotized cell and all tested at 50 bar, can be fed with diathermic oil or gas.

DVK-D line treats the wood thanks to the steam introduced into the chamber from the outside, via a duct system.
Function
With these installations you can vaporize both tables and trunks, in a totally automatic cycle.
Productivity

Supply
- The steam, produced by an external generator plant, is introduced into a perforated stainless steel tubing through which it can dissolve within the kiln.
- The installation must be fed with wet steam at low pressure.
- Once condensed water is removed by means of appropriate ducts arranged inside of kiln foundations.

Boiling system
- Steam is produced through water boiling, contained in a tank inside the kiln.
- A heat exchanger, which can be supplied with water to at least +120°C, steam, diathermic oil or gas, generates the overheating of the water and consequently the boiling.
- DVK-I installations are equipped with heat exchangers made of stainless steel, with standardized thickness of 25/10mm, and all tested at 50 bar.
- The boiling bath is made of stainless steel.
