Machines Italia Presents "The Italian Edge" to Nebraska

The second volume "The Italian Edge: Technology for Sustainability" was presented at a luncheon hosted by the State of Nebraska for promoting international trade between the State and foreign countries. Lt. Governor, Rick Sheehy along with receiving a copy, presented one to the Governor of Nebraska, Hon. Dave Heineman. In addition, the book was presented to the Mayor of Omaha Nebraska, Jim Suttle, and Executive for Professional Management Education at the University of Nebraska - Omaha, Bill Swanson.

Machines Italia representatives discussed the various interests Italian companies would have in doing business with the State of Nebraska, in addition to highlighting the sustainable practices conducted by said companies. As well, academic exchange and incubator programs were reviewed such as the Italian Technology Award Program - ITA. The ITA program has had faculty and students from Nebraska universities take part in the educational trip programs to Italy over the past several years. Future areas - both commercial and academic, were proposed for eventual programs under development by all parties.
