Italy Lines Up at Techtextil North America 2012 in Atlanta (April 24-26, 2012)

At 2012 edition of Techtextil North America (April 24-26, 2012) in Atlanta (GA) ACIMIT, the Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers, has organized a Meeting Point where some Italian machinery manufacturers involved in the production of machines for technical textiles will show their innovative solutions. These companies are: Cormatex Srl, Dell'Orco & Villani Srl, Loptex Italia Srl, Ratti Luino Srl, and Saspe Srl.

For the Italian textile machinery industry, Techtextil North America 2012 will be another occasion to show the most updated technologies within the technical and innovative textiles sector to potential customers. In 2011, the US market for specialty fabrics and technical textiles registered a recovery and the current projections for 2012 are showing to be quite positive.

Italian exports to US market support these projections, as US textile customers are investing in updated equipment, with 2011 Italian sales of textile machinery to the States having reached a value of approximately 68 million euro (94.7 million USD) - an increase of 84% from the previous year.

In 2011 the most relevant machinery shares of Italian exports to US market were those for accessories (33%), spinning machinery (20%) and finishing ones (20%).
