ASSOCOMAPLAST To Promote Italian Plastics and Rubber Technologies at PLAST-EX Show in Toronto

ASSOCOMAPLAST, the Italian Plastics and Rubber Processing Machinery and Moulds Manufacturers Association, will be exhibiting at the upcoming PLAST-EX Show, taking place in Toronto, from June 21 to 23 - Booth 2425.

Founded in 1960, ASSOCOMAPLAST represents and promotes 170 leading Italian plastics and rubber machinery, ancillary equipment and moulds manufacturers. ASSOCOMAPLAST organizes PLAST 2012, the benchmarking trade show for plastic and rubber machinery and equipment in Europe, in 2012. ASSOCOMAPLAST is a partner of the Machines Italia project since its inception in 2001 and collaborates with the Italian Trade Commission to promote Italian technology and innovation in the manufacturing industry within North America.

ASSOCOMAPLAST booth will host IPM and FB BALZANELLI, two Italian companies with groundbreaking innovations. Italian exports of plastics and rubber machinery, equipment and moulds to Canada recorded in 2010 a certain recovery with respect to the shrink suffered in 2009, due to the world crisis. As a matter of fact, the total value of sales to Canadian processors exceeded 23 million euro, versus less than 18 in 2009. It is important to highlight that a remarkable share of the Italian sector exports towards Canada is represented by extruders and extrusion lines that, generally speaking, are high added value plants, often tailor-made according to the specific request of customers. This issue well represents the capability of the Italian manufacturers to supply turn-key advanced technology for high quality and high productivity items.
