On Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at the Toronto Board of Trade, The Consul General of Italy, Gianni Bardini, and the Toronto office of the Italian Trade Commission, hosted a cocktail reception to welcome the new Italian Trade Commissioner in Canda, Ascal Bova and to officially launch the Italian Trade Commission's newest book in the series The Italian Edge entitled Technology for Sustainability.

Italian-made machinery known for quality, technology, service.
North American auto industry leaders say the top three benefits of investing in new plant equipment are a higher quality product (26 percent); increased throughput (23 percent); and lower overall operating costs (20 percent). And of those companies that use Italian-made industrial machinery, most say the biggest benefit they derive from it is help in meeting strategic and operational goals.

Italy's Flame Spray S.p.A., an international leader in making thermal spray coatings, will establish its new production facility in Laurens County, South Carolina. The $9.2 million investment is expected to generate more than 50 new jobs over the next five years and establish a state-of-the-art thermal spray coating facility within the country.

Governor Rick Perry announced today that a M&G Group, a PET resin manufacturer, has chosen Corpus Christi for its latest plant. According to a news release, "the expansion is expected to create at least 250 direct jobs at the facility, and generate several millions in capital investment."
