Founded by Luigi Bandera, Bandera started it's operations in 1947 and soon proved itself to be an energetically expanding enterprise. The company also played a large role in the development of the plastic processing machinery industry.

In 1950 Bandera turned into a joint stock company. During the 1960's and 70's, their activities expanded to an industrial production scale, thanks to a diversified production range in the extrusion process.

Throughout the 80's & 90's the company became an acknowledged leader among extrusion equipment manufacturers worldwide.
