CALF was founded as an artisan company in 1960 by a group of experts, and through the years has industrially developed expanding and strengthening its production. They are constantly researching new technology being a guarantee for a greater foothold on both the national and international markets. At present the company develops its industrial activities from the factory in Montecchio Emilia (RE) with 100 employees over an area of 15,000m2, 9000 of which covered, with highly technological tooling machines and work stations. In the last few years the company has made significant investments to improve their production organization with a radical renewal of their machines. At the same time they reformed the training and organization of their employees, leaving behind the specialized but artisan attitude for a more fully-developed industrial type with significant results in terms of turnover.

CIMA Impianti was established in 1953 as a company manufacturing moulds for tyre retreading. In the following years it widened its range of products, manufacturing curing presses initially sold in the national market.
During the 70s, with the introduction of tires with radial casing, the first presses of the Radial Pneus series were developed and manufactured, the first one developed for this new type of tires.
From the moment this process started CIMA Impianti was introduced to the international markets, where it became the major manufacturer of turn-key plants for tire retreading.
